Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
Now is your chance to own a robotic vacuum. CNET's best-rated models will be available for Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts of up to 57%..
The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping, with app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.
1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its most significant breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes, and the pet waste that many other robots are unable to avoid (and often go through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you a picture of any object it encounters so that you can tell it to avoid it in the future.
The Combo j7+ is also the best robot to mop we've ever tested, removing spills and dirt with ease while leaving no trace it was there. It's easy to control through the iRobot Home app, which lets you schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't sweep areas you do not want it to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it from start to stop by speaking to it.
Its design is also a step above the competition and features a sleek, top piece that appears more like a toy robot rather than a loud, loud one. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System self-empties, which is great to reduce the time spent cleaning.
In our tests, we discovered that the j7+ swiftly took away dirt, dust, and pet hair. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in place, instead of scattering it on the floor. It even was able to capture sand and small gravel that other robots can't. And all of this without getting tangled up in our pet's shedding hair.
The j7+, while not as sophisticated as the Roomba S9, which costs $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum from iRobot and cannot clean the stairs, is still an option for those who need both mopping and vacuum. It's not expensive and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take some time to download updates, and it's sometimes difficult to tell if they are functioning until you actually witness them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, the best option is probably one that is a hybrid. These machines are equipped with a water tank, so they can mop and vacuum at the same time. These bots also come with a variety of extra features, including smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. The downside is that they can be expensive at retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.
Roborock makes some of our favorite robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ doesn't fail to impress. It's their most affordable auto-empty model, and while it doesn't have certain features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent choice if you're willing to compromise a bit in order to save a few hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeably gentle around obstacles like tables and walls which makes it a great option for homes with a lot of furniture. robot floor cleaner 's also very thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is a place where most robot vacuums of lower quality aren't able to meet. The Q5+'s navigation is top-quality, with a few misses on walls and corners.
Like other Roborock devices, the Q5+ can be controlled by a handful of buttons on the device itself or via the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleaning and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and modify your home map or re-label rooms.
If you decide to go with the Q5+ model, it comes with a brand new auto-empty dock specifically designed to make this robot simple to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once it's installed, emptying the bin can be accomplished with relative ease. It features a large LCD screen, which is useful when setting up schedules and changing settings. This isn't a necessary feature for the majority of people, but it's one that will aid in keeping track of your robot's maintenance intervals effortlessly.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a smart, well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of mopping and vacuuming. Its design is one of the best in the industry however it's quite expensive.
The base station is attractive and is easily hidden when not in use, and the size is quite compact. But the station's main selling factor is its ability to automate many tasks and functions that other robots will leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water and electrolyze and heat the water. The majority of other robots require this.
And its vacuuming is impressive as well. It's one of the few robot vacuums I've tried that does very well at picking up debris on plain floors, and is not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.
However, the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially when it comes to navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robovacs. This means that it could get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the house. It's not able climb stairs as well as competitors, for instance and doesn't come with an dock that allows the user to set up an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets that are soft.
While it doesn't offer as many in terms of cleaning configuration options in its app or as many shortcuts within the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for an all-around great robot vacuum and mop that's worth the price tag.
However, if you're looking to save some cash or don't want to think about the limitations of this machine there are many alternatives available, including a lot of eufy models priced significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and offers an identical experience on the app with more features like stairs, a fully-function dock, and a better overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.
4. eufy RoboVac g30
Eufy is an Anker company with a long history of creating robot vacuums with the right balance of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning of hard floors as well as mopping, carpets and other surfaces at a price that is affordable. It's easy to setup simply by snapping one of the side brushes on, switch it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock must be located near an outlet and have enough space to move.
The G30 is a compact device that measures 2.85 inches in height, so it will fit under most couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design is less ostentatious in comparison to other models. It has a sleek black finish and three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral pattern over two minutes) Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.
The way that the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from its rivals. It uses a built-in map to create an image of the non-movable objects that are in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and what it isn't able to access. If it requires a recharge, it returns to its base, and then resumes cleaning where it began.
The eufy G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more built, incurs lower recurring costs, charges more quickly and has the same battery life while offering superior performance on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It has a bigger dust bin that does not require the same amount of emptying. It also has boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30, however is less expensive and much easier to maintain. Its smaller container means it doesn't need to be emptied as often and has less difficulty with bulky items such as cereal.
